The Tansha method is based on measurements of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). This nucleoside triphosphate is used as energy source of all living cells. Therefore, a product sample can contain ATP from different sources:
• Free ATP which is in the sample and was released from dead cells
• Somatic ATP in animal and plant cells
• Microbial ATP due to contaminating microorganisms
The Tansha Rapid Microbial ATP test for fruit juice is the only reliable test currently on the market. Microbial detection within fruit juices are challenging because of the acidic environment. The Tansha reagents are specially developed to cope with these extreme conditions and make the determination of microbial contamination possible.

TANSHA LAB TESTING SYSTEMS
Promicol B V has over 20 years’ experience in the specialist development and manufacturing of Rapid microbial ATP test for UHT-ESL milk, Beverages and Personal Care Products. The Promilite M4A® equipment is specially developed for larger testing requirements (above 50 tests per day) and the Promilite M1® is specially developed for smaller testing requirements (25-50 tests per day). The Promitec 10® is a single test instrument, specially developed for small cosmetic companies. On average the results are available after 24-72 hours (depending on the application) and will decrease the “total time of testing” (after incubation) considerably. For all Promicol B V systems and assays the proprietary software makes analysis intuitive.
